If you’re still not sure this is the place for your next get-away,
we have included just a few of the testimonials we have received
from recent guests.
Testimonials-
New owners John & Mary are congenial hosts @ this
locals hotspot, which features satellite TV ,Internet jukebox, pool
table, gaming and full size stuffed wildcat presiding over all. More
important is the welcome you'll receive, and the conversation you
can strike up-patrons are friendly and talkative, especially about
local history, which is extensive for this mining outpost
established in 1905. Just steps away is a surprisingly upscale mini
hotel with a convenient laundromat for all the mud you may acquire
hiking, ATV-ing or just chasing after the attentive pooches who hang
about in and out of the bar. At 7000 ft the booze may hit you in a
pleasantly different way, but its not your imagination about the
bar- it slides downhill- but you'll quickly get the hang of hangin'
on!! I know I sound like a smarmy travel guide but this bar is truly
genuine down to earth fun- and well worth the drive!! Silly behavior
is well tolerated too- they know you're not local, but they don't
hold it against you :) --Sarah in Las Vegas, NV
Just a quick note to thank you again for your and John's
hospitality during our recent visit. On our way home we stopped at
Round Mountain and the tour the three of us got was awesome. Saw
Katie before and after. She's such a great person. Highlights of
our trip were the backcountry travel and the tremendous hospitality
and friendliness you guys and the rest of the town extended to us.
I do look forward to July 24/ 25 stay and keep me posted on what
special plans you may be cooking up. Big hug..... Charles
