Things to do in and around the area~
There
are so many different activities available in the area
it’s hard to know where to start, so here are just a
few: Round Mountain Gold Tours are not to be
missed and require just 24 hours notice to arrange.
There is endless country to be explored by ATV and
guided tours are available from John or Mary by prior
arrangement.

The
area is a hunter’s paradise – just don’t forget your
tag! John is also working on a Deer Pool and hunter’s
special, so stay tuned to the Web site for updates.
Go mountain biking on your own or enjoy the beautiful
trail through Meadow Canyon. Camping
locations are plentiful in the area, and include Peavine
Camp Ground, Belmont, and Barley Creek camp grounds.
Fish to your heart’s content in the manmade ponds at
Sportsman Park or in the wild at Barley Creek. Both are
nearby and just waiting for you, your rod, and your
bait!

Hiking
enthusiasts love the area and your day of hiking can
begin
right at the front door of the bar and motel.
Photographers will
love the beauty of the Big Smoky Valley and the high
desert. Just
be sure to bring extra film or a large memory card for
all photo opportunities. Rock, gem, and
fossil hunters will find an abundance
of areas nearby to keep them occupied. Talk to John and
Mary, or
any of the locals, for tips on the best areas.
Gold panning can also
be done nearby and who knows – you may strike it rich!

is available at Round Mountain Golf course. Visit their

Wildlife
is abundant in the area and includes deer, antelope,
wild horses and burros, bighorn sheep, and even the
occasional mountain lion and rattler!
Stargaze under some of the most beautiful skies in the
world, and see over 7,000 stars on a clear night without
using a telescope.
